Program Overview

Today’s public challenges demand more than good intentions. They require leaders who can analyze complex problems, make evidence-informed decisions, build trust across differences, and turn ideas into meaningful results.

The Evans School’s Master of Public Administration prepares you to do exactly that. You’ll build a strong foundation in policy analysis, leadership, management, and public finance while applying what you learn through hands-on experiences with real organizations and communities. From your first quarter through your year-long capstone, you’ll develop the confidence and practical experience to lead change in government, nonprofit organizations, philanthropy, consulting, and mission-driven organizations.

Located in Seattle, the Evans School connects you to one of the nation’s most innovative ecosystems for public service. You’ll learn from nationally recognized faculty, collaborate with classmates who bring diverse professional and lived experiences, and engage directly with organizations tackling today’s most pressing challenges.

Graduates leave Evans prepared not only to understand public policy, but to implement it. Whether you’re improving access to housing, strengthening public health systems, advancing environmental sustainability, or shaping the future of democratic governance, you’ll graduate ready to translate evidence into action and values into measurable impact.
