Jacqueline Meijer-Irons started the Evans School Ph.D. in Public Policy and Management program in 2006. Her research focuses on individual and household-level response to environmental stress in rural communities in Thailand. In particular, she is interested in learning how adaptive response to climate change might be moderated by intervening institutions and perceptions of risk. Meijer-Irons is a recipient of a NICHD pre-doctoral traineeship, awarded though the UW’s Center for Studies in Demography and Ecology.
Meijer-Irons holds a Masters in Public Administration from the Evans School, as well as a BA in Integrative Biology from the University of California, Berkeley.
